Canker Sores

Canker Sores are small, white swellings on the tongue, lips, gums, or inside of the cheeks that develop into ulcers. These ulcers can then become infected by bacteria. The Canker Sore (often confused with the cold sore) is not caused by the herpes virus, but is inflammation rather than infection. Canker Sores can be triggered by any number of factors: poor dental hygiene, food allergies, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, viral infections, and the like. Balancing body pH and making necessary dietary changes will help to reduce or eliminate symptoms and aid in the healing process.*

These nutrients may be helpful for this condition:
