Headaches

There are two basic categories of headaches: Tension Headaches and Migraines. Tension Headaches are common to everyday life stressors and are usually associated with a sensation of pressure on either side of the head. Migraines usually do not occur on a daily basis and are characterized by extreme discomfort. Since hormones play a major part in the onset of Migraine Headaches, more migraine sufferers tend to be women. Recommendations for treating headaches, both tension and migraine, are to detoxify, balance pH, and normalize hormone levels. Nutritional supplements will aid the body in achieving and maintaining health. Chiropractic care and massage therapy are also recommended as beneficial treatments. *

These nutrients may be helpful for this condition:

Zyflamend: One softgel 2x/day with meals.

Digestive Enzymes: 1 with each meal or snack

MagLink: (calcium/magnesium) 1-2 capsules at bedtime

5 HTP: (natural sleep aid) 1-2 capsules if having difficulty sleeping. Please note: Do not use if on SSRI’s.

Anxiety Control: (essential amino acids) 1-2 capsules 2 times/day

Natpro-Natural Progesterone Cream: (helps to normalize hormones) Count from Day 1 of your period to Day 12. On Day 12 begin taking progesterone cream (1/8th -1/4 tsp) 1- 2 times/daily for 15 days. Apply to thin skinned areas such as face, throat, elbows, behind knees, wrists, etc. After the 15th day of usage, stop. Wait until your period begins again and repeat the process. Please note: If you are in menopause, you can take the cream every day of the month except for the last two days, then start up again.
