Zeolites are minerals formed when molten lava comes in contact with water from lakes or oceans. The clinoptilolite form of Zeolite has been used for hundreds of years throughout Asia to treat a wide variety of medical conditions. A proprietary process is utilized in the production of Nutramedix Zeolite; therefore, a small amount is required to eliminate significant amounts of heavy metals and other toxins. Because of their negative charge and honeycomb like structure, zeolites from the clinoptilolite family are able to eliminate heavy metals, certain viruses, and many positively charged man-made toxins. The negatively charged Zeolite attracts positively charged toxins which are eliminated from the body. Zeolite is not absorbed into the body; rather it travels through the intestines binding toxins along the way until it is completely eliminated carrying the toxins with it. If a patient is experiencing constipation, the use of Zeolite can worsen the condition. Therefore, a patient should be having 2-3 bowel movements per day before using Zeolite. The recommended dosage for for Zeolite and Zeolite HP: 13 years old and up- 2 capsules every 3rd night. 6-12 years old patients-1 capsule every third night. Heavy metal detox can be excessive for some fragile patients. If this is the case, it is recommended that the patient begin with 1/4 to 1/2 capsule every third night increasing the dosage over time to 2 capsules every third night.
